Clone of 5E3 Deluxe 22-Watt 1×12″ Tube Guitar Amplifier
1 in stock
This clone of a 5E3 Deluxe is more serious than most amps out there. Every detail about it’s construction is beautiful and done gracefully; the assembly of the circuit board, how the wires are organized, how the tolex was adhered/how the tolex looks on the reverse of the removable back panel (the back side of which looks like art from New Mexico completely by happenstance). Sonically it’s definitely barking up the same tree as an original deluxe with some noticeable differences. The last couple of photos are with an original 5E3 from 1955 (not included with this amp, just pictured for size reference), and when a shootout was performed between the two the takeaways were that the clone had a slightly more compressed sound and not quite as much volume on tap as the original. Still plenty of clear volume on tap to play with a drummer, and if so desired there is an extension cabinet jack on the back of the amp that would bypass the internal speaker and utilize just the attached cabinet. Additionally, the clone is a touch deeper than the original. The original measures 8.75″ on the top to 9.75″ at it’s base, and the clone measures 9.5″ on the top to 10.5″ at it’s base.
