Kent Videocaster Model 534 Vintage MIJ Bass Guitar
Out of stock
This Kent 534 Videocaster bass is wonderful early-mid 1960s Made In Japan oddity with a lot of tone and a lot of character. One hot, slightly-microphonic humbucking pickup with basic volume and tone controls. A squarish, chunky-as hell neck that feels like half of a 2×4 in a good way with a nice rosewood fretboard. Almost no taper as you move up the neck, but the neck shape and fingerboard radius and small frets make for easy playability if you have medium-to-large hands. 1 3/4″ nut width, 33 1/2″ scale. The electronics work, but are a little funky (the tone knob rolls off the treble but a bit of the volume as well). Plenty of chips, scratches, dings, finish wear. A few glued-in tuner buttons. New pots, and knobs; one unoriginal bridge piece.
