Ibanez Artist AR300 Antique Violin c.1978 Early Production w/ OHSC

Out of stock

For sale is an early production c.1978 Ibanez Artist AR300 in very good condition with its original case. This is production number 6807 out of the Torada Plant in Japan, October 1978. The AR300 was technically offered on western markets from 1979-1987, but this was originally purchased and played in the Netherlands from the 1980s to present. A truly wonderful player with outrageous tone, feel and aesthetic for a competitive price considering its vintage. Gorgeous double-cutaway mahogany body mated to a set-in three-piece maple neck with a 22-fret ebony fingerboard with binding pearl and abalone split block position markers. Ibanez design Super humbuckers with individual volume and tone controls and a fixed bridge and tailpiece. Each pickup has a Tri-Sound with three pickup settings: humbucker, single-coil or reverse phase. Shows signs of basic wear and tear, mainly in the finish/metal components that have some scratches or patena. There is some finish cracking around the neck joint that is cosmetic, not structural. A tiny bit of fret wear. Original strap pin was moved to the center of the neck heel. Included is the original hardshell in decent condition.
