Vintage Bowl Back Mandolin c.1920-1930’s, Unknown Maker
1 in stock
For an instrument nearing it’s centennial, this bowl back mandolin has plenty of life left in it, yet! The top is in excellent shape, as is the back (there are no seem separations visible at all), with no cracks anywhere on the body. There is only a small amount of weather checking in the finish on the top, and given how little of it there is, The 12:1 4×4 plate tuners work very efficiently, holding tune quite well. The pickguard has warped some throughout the years; one butterfly wing is practically not present anymore and the surrounding material to said wing has cracked in one spot and started lifting in a couple of other spots. All of which is cosmetic and doesn’t affect the playability of the instrument at all.
