Gretsch Corsair 6014 Vintage 1954 Archtop Acoustic Guitar

Used, in fair condition but with a lot of player merit! This is a Gretsch Corsair 6014 Vintage 1954 Archtop Acoustic Guitar in a dark sunburst finish. Weight is 5 lbs 2 oz. This old soul has some good playability, a wonderful woody and punchy tone. It has a gorgeous, thick soft V neck shape and some beautiful vintage checking and aesthetic beauty. That said, it has a list of tech issues that we grade as 'fair' overall condition and we are pricing it 'as-is.' The action sits a bit higher than spec and the truss rod does not appear to function. The peghead has been doweled and glued with finish work over the top as well as cracking along the body binding (see photos) and the neck center strip has appeared to have been glued. The bridge has been modified and sits at its lowest point of adjustment. Despite the laundry list of issues, the guitar plays well and sounds nice, but the price reflects condition. If you are looking for a museum piece, you might want to move along, but if you're after sound and soul, this may be the guitar for you!
