Kalamazoo KG-31 Archtop 1936 Vintage Sunburst w/ HSC Used

For sale is a Kalamazoo KG-31 Archtop 1936 Vintage w/ HSC Used, in good condition for its age. This is a beautiful, USA made archtop from the 1930s with a mahogany body and an X-braced spruce top making for a rich and woody response - articulate and dynamic especially for jazz play or finger style playing. It has a deep V neck shape and a wide 1.75" nut, plays well with action at spec. Weigh is just under 4 lbs. The finish is originaland has aged decently with a nice patina and uniform checking in most areas. The body and neck have no cracks or major repairs. The frets have wear but play clean up to the body, neck has a fair amount of "vintage relief" and was built with no truss rod. Replacement tuners that are working well. The action is slightly above spec and it plays clean up to the body, some fret zinginess played in the highest register. Included is a basic vintage hardshell case for safe transport.
