The 414ce -LTD Sinker redwood stands apart as an acoustic guitar tonewood for both its riverbed origins and its rich
tone, but it’s usually confined to the peak of the Taylor line in the Presentation Series or custom guitars.
The all-new 414ce LTD changes that, bringing the bold sound of redwood to a more accessible price
point in the 400 Series. This Grand Auditorium boasts back and sides of solid Indian rosewood paired
with a redwood top, voiced with our volume- and sustain-boosting V-Class bracing inside. Rosewood’s
natural clarity and harmonic complexity make it an ideal partner for sinker redwood, which yields a
rounded, warm tone with remarkable soft-touch sensitivity and power—like cedar on steroids, as we like
to say. Appointments reflect the guitar’s individuality within the Taylor line, including Imperial fretboard
inlays in Italian acrylic and a single-ring green abalone rosette that set the 414ce LTD apart from its
400 Series counterparts. White binding, a smoky West African ebony fretboard, a faux tortoiseshell
pickguard, a full-body gloss finish and nickel tuning machines round out the package.
