Taylor 50th Anniv. 217e-SB Plus Grand Pacific Acoustic Electric Guitar w/Aerocase
The 217e-SB Plus LTD, premiering in Taylor’s 50th Anniversary collection, marks the exciting debut of our Grand Pacific body within the 200 Series. Layered Indian rosewood back and sides meet a torrefied Sitka spruce top to create a harmonious blend of
projection, warmth, clarity and sustain. The torrefied top delivers a more seasoned look and sound, along with a slight boost in dimensional stability for consistently reliable performance over time and in different climate environments.
The guitar is also voiced with Taylor’s proprietary C-Class bracing. Here, the voicing recipe enhances the overall tonal response, perhaps most noticeably in the low-end frequencies, contributing to a robust, full-bodied voice. The Grand Pacific shape makes a
great all-purpose instrument, perfect for everything from strumming cowboy chords to flatpicking runs to softer fingerpicking.
Notable appointments include a rich tobacco sunburst top and gloss-finish body; tastefully-designed 50th Anniversary diamond fretboard inlays in Italian acrylic; an Italian acrylic single-ring rosette that pops visually against the sunburst; black body binding with black and white top purfling; a black pickguard; gold Taylor
tuning machines; and ebony bridge pins with gold acrylic dots—a signature touch for all 50th Anniversary models.
Onboard ES2 electronics deliver natural-sounding amplified acoustic tone for performance or recording, while a strong yet lightweight Taylor AeroCase ensures protection and easy portability. Our 50th anniversary label inside the guitar pays tribute to Taylor’s milestone year. With its unique tonal character, signature Taylor playability, and refined visual elements, the 217e-SB Plus LTD stands as a testament to Taylor’s legacy of creating instruments that inspire and elevate the musical experience.
