The "Cool" input gives you a smooth clean starting out, with a light edge toward the top of its range. The "Hot" input gives you all the breakup you deserve. Careful, though, as the more breakup you want, the louder it gets. If you want a nice bedroom tube amp for a nice clean sound while having the option to be raucous, this one's for you.
