Pearl BLX Birch Drum Kit 5 Piece Shell Pack *Used

For your consideration, this Pearl BLX shell pack in sequoia red stain. The BLX series also known as the Prestige Studio series represents the advent of Pearl's state-of-the-art pressure molded shell manufacturing. These drums feature all birch 6-ply shells with high tension lugs. Birch is known for its focused attack and projection and these drums are no exception. Designed specifically to compete with the Yamaha recording customs of the time, these drums are incredibly well built and sound excellent.

The 12" Tom has replacement lugs that have a slightly different look than the original lugs although this is very subtle. The remaining lugs show chrome pitting and all the shells have some dings and scuffs typical of drums of this age. Bass drum hoops are original and are in good solid shape although they have plenty of scuffs and wear particularly in the area where the pedal clamps on the hoop. All the drum interiors are in very good shape and the bearing edges are clean. These drums are ready to rock!
